Author Biography

Lesley Jackson is a freelance writer and curator specializing in twentieth-century design. Her books include The New Look - Design in the Fifties, 'Contemporary' Architecture and Interiors of the 1950s, Whitefriars Glass: The Art of James Powell & Sons,Twentieth-Century Factory Glass and 'contemporary': Architecture and Interiors of the 1950s, also published by Phaidon. She also writes for various newspapers and magazines, and has curated numerous exhibitions.
