Stephen Kochan is a developer, trainer, and best-selling author. As lead developer for Tinder's iOS application, he managed development of major new features, including a complete redesign for iOS 7, Moments (photo capture and annotation), lists, and Passport. He also developed Tinder's Apple Watch app. Previously, he was senior/lead developer for several award-winning iOS applications, including Call of Duty Ghosts, Disney DMA, Frequency, and DirecTV. His ten bestselling books include Programming in Objective C and Programming in C. Formerly a software consultant and instructor at Bell Laboratories, he has 20+ years of teaching experience in Objective-C, C, shell programming, and Unix.

 

Patrick Wood is CTO at Electronics for Imaging, with responsibility for RandD for New Product Development. Formerly a member of technical staff at Bell Laboratories, he co-founded Pipeline Associates, Inc., a Unix consulting firm, with Stephen Kochan. With Kochan, he also co-authored five previous books, including Exploring the Unix System, Unix System Security, and Unix Shell Programming.
