Author Biography

Luc Jacquet is a French filmmaker and photographer with a strong background in the sciences. He is renowned for his nature documentaries, most notably March of the Penguins, the winner of the 2005 Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. He also authored the adult and children's companion books to the acclaimed movie.Jérôme Maison is a director of photography and a photographer best known for his work on the Academy Award?winning film March of the Penguins. His images are featured in the adult and children's companion books to the movie. He has also worked on several other nature documentaries, such as Topsy-Turvy Penguin.
