Summary

Martin the Warrior tries to unravel the mysteries of his childhood and learn the story of his father, Luke, who was the first Warrior Chieftain in Redwall. At first, all Martin knows is that his father abandoned him -- he has no idea why. When he travels to the land where his father left him behind, Martin learns the true story behind his father's sacrifice. Yes, Luke abandoned Martin, but he did so to stop a great evil in the form of the pirate Vilu Daskar.

Author Biography

Brian Jacques, a legend in his own right, began writing his beloved Redwall tales to entertain the children at Liverpool's School for the Blind. A consummate storyteller, Mr. Jacques lives in Liverpool, where he hosts his own radio show and continues to spin his magnificent tales, creating new chapters in the Redwall saga.
