Author Biography

John L. Young has been hiking the forests of Pennsylvania since his childhood in Altoona. He has a degree in journalism and is a former newspaper reporter and columnist. His outdoor and travel articles have appeared in Ohio Magazine, Pennsylvania Magazine, and Pursuits, a publication of the Pennsylvania Tourism Office. He is a member of Keystone Trails Association and the Allegheny Outdoor Club and is the author of Hiking Pennsylvania.
