Im Bildteil sind 65 Fotografen durch ihre Arbeiten repräsentiert. Das Buch hebt sich von der deutschsprachigen Konkurrenzliteratur deutlich ab, weil hier alle Teilbereiche der Astrofotografie angesprochen werden. Es ist sowohl nach fotografisch-technischen als auch nach astronomischen Problemkreisen gegliedert und so zum Nachschlagen bestens geeignet.
