Maude Royer was born in 1977, in Québec City, Canada, where she studied graphic design. After spending two years in France, she came back to live in Québec City. It was in first grade, reading her first novel, that she discovered what she wanted to do with her life: write stories. The author of three fantasy series for teenagers, she also wrote for children before moving into horror literature for adults.
