Summary

Frida Kahlo observed the world through her large black eyes. From an early age she saw her health besieged by illness. When she was only eighteen, a terrible streetcar accident broke her life in two. Love and disappointment were the two faces of her marriage to artist Diego Rivera. Only she could transmute so much pain into color. Thanks to her hurricane-like strength, she found salvation in painting. For some, her work was surrealistic. But she claimed that in her paintings she painted her reality. Daniel Balmaceda's words and Pablo Bernasconi's beautiful illustrations give life to this revealing biography. A book accompanied by a puzzle to capture this work forever.
