Summary

In a career spanning four decades, Robert Bahr has written on a great variety of subjects for widely diverse audiences. The key: "The art of literature is unique -- it exists nowhere except in the theater of the reader's imagination. Once that's understood, the writer can accomplish consciously what others achieve by accident". Although all writers will gain by reading Dramatic Technique, the book is intended for those who have had enough experience to understand the difficulty in creating quality literature. This book could save the serious writer literally years of trial and error. -- "I am not stretching the truth at all when I say this is one of the best books about writing I have ever seen", -- John Killinger, D.D., Ph.D., head of the creative writing program, Samford University, Birmingham, AL -- "I would recommend it to any aspiring writer and suggest it for classroom use by any instructor of creative writing", -- Barry D. Jacobs, Ph.D., Professor of English, Montclair State University, NJ
